EU rethinks biofuels guidelines
Alright, this was not tough to foresee. The evidence was already mounting as Bush and the EU claimed biofuels were the key to a greener earth. First off they are barely an improvement from oil - they are almost as bad for the atmosphere. Second, the resulting havoc on commodity prices is not at all sustainable. If any one had read the Wall Street Journal a year ago this would have all been obvious.
